On November 17, the Solo Time Bank pilot opened to a group of just 15 founding members — solopreneurs who’ll are currently helping to test, refine, and bring this concept to life.
Over five weeks, we’ll explore how time-trading works in practice: what flows smoothly, what needs tweaking, and how everyone can benefit most.

Once you join the Solo Time Bank, you’ll complete a short onboarding process so I can understand what you do best and where you need support.
From there, you’ll start with two hours of time credit — ready to spend on whatever you need most. Just complete a quick request form, and I’ll match you with the right person to help.
When another member needs help with something in your wheelhouse, I’ll connect you. After your session, you’ll “bank” that hour to spend later.

how much does it cost?
The pilot rate is $15 / month (lifetime rate for founding members). When the Solo Time Bank officially launches in January 2026, the rate for new members will increase.
what if no one needs my expertise?
There are two types of support — expertise and general. So even if your skillset isn’t requested every week, you can still offer general support sessions like co-working, planning, or accountability.
can i join if i'm not a coach or consultant?
Absolutely. Anyone who’s self-employed or running a small business in NZ can join — from designers and VAs to bookkeepers, marketers, and creatives.
do i have to show up every week?
You don’t need to be in the group daily, but this pilot is about showing up and taking part.
You’ll need to complete at least two trades (giving or receiving support), respond to check-in questions, share feedback, and join our final wrap-up call. If that already feels like too much, that’s totally okay — it just means the full launch in January might be a better fit for you. This pilot is for those ready to dive in and help shape something new.
will people actually follow through?
That’s the intention — which is why structure and accountability are instrinsic to the Solo Time Bank. Everyone completes onboarding and agrees to our shared values. Once invited to the pilot, they’ll have 48 hours to confirm their spot, and matched members must set a session time within 48 hours. I’ll be actively moderating and checking in — but ultimately, it works because the kind of people drawn to this do follow through.
what if i get busy and need to step back?
During the pilot, you'll need to complete at least two trades — that could be giving or receiving support (one of each is perfect). It’s a light commitment spread over five weeks, but essential for testing how the Time Bank works in practice. If you think that might be too much for you right now, it’s best to wait until the full launch in January.
